My Time at the College
After taking my GCSEs at Bayside with mixed results, I became a College student from 1999-2002. Before applying, I wasn’t sure if it was the right choice until I spoke to others who had joined College and taken the courses I was interested in. After my first week at College I was so pleased I had made the right decision; so much so that I became integrated into College life, promoting the College Ethos and participating in many events and, of course, achieving my GCSEs & A-Levels. During these years, I even became ‘Student of the Year’ in 2002 & runner up in 1999.
Thank you everyone at the College in helping me become a mature person and teach me vital life skills. It was there where I decided to apply to university, something that my family would not even have thought of. By the recommendation of the teachers & my classmates at the College, they had no doubt I had the skills, determination, dedication and passion to become a teacher.
I have been a member of the teaching staff for the past 11 years, actively teaching full-time students, adult education; and involved in students' activities.
The College was, and is, my second home. A place which I am happy to come every day and pass on my knowledge to others.
